Goods Insurance
Any transport of goods is susceptible to damage, breakdowns, accidents or losses, which can be a major setback depending on the amount of the merchandise. For this reason, although insurance coverage of international freight is not mandatory, it is recommended to insure the goods before any operation. The transport insurance is that through which the insurer is obliged, prior to collecting the premium, to compensate the insured or beneficiary up to the fixed limit the damages that, as a result of the occurrence of some covered risk, the goods suffer during the trip insured.
TRANSHIPPING GROUP offers you a policy with door to door coverage for the transport of goods with the guarantee of ALLIANZ, the leading insurer in Europe with a presence in 70 countries. We ensure your shipments throughout your transportation, from the point of origin of the load (place of collection or delivery) to defined point of destination.
The policy covers general merchandise (there are exclusions such as live animals, works of art, vehicles, precious stones, …) duly conditioned and packed for transport and takes effect from the moment of loading the goods insured in the point of origin until the moment of unloading at the point of destination, subsisting during transport and possible transhipments. The transport modes included are maritime, air by commercial line, land by truck and / or rail, and / or combination between any of them. Additionally, the merchandise is guaranteed in accordance with the provisions of the following attached clauses:
